A pool table in your room, not a pool app

Kosmi pool is a table for two people who already know each other. You make a room, you send a link, and whoever takes the other seat is the one you invited.

Both of you on camera

Video and voice chat run inside the room, with each player's camera at their end of the rail. Everyone else in the room can watch the frame and talk.

Nobody installs anything

The table runs in the browser, on a laptop or a phone. Your friend opens the link and sits down — no app, no account.

An opponent when you're alone

Press Play against AI and Kosminaut takes the other seat. It picks real shots, calls its pocket on the 8, and has something to say when the rack ends.

The rest of the room

When the rack winds down, the same room does watch parties, poker, card games and retro consoles. You don't have to move anywhere.

Questions

How do I play 8 ball pool online with a friend?

Create a Kosmi room with the pool table in it, send your friend the room link, and take a seat each. They open the link in a browser and sit down at the other end of the table — no account needed to join, and nothing to install on any device.

Is it free?

Yes, completely. The table, the video chat and the room are free, and there's no limit on how many racks you play. Kosmi Premium exists for other things, but nothing about the pool game is paywalled.

Can I play pool on my own?

Yes. Sit down and press Play against AI, and Kosminaut, the room's AI companion, takes the other seat. It plays real shots, calls its pocket on the 8 and says something when it wins or loses.

Are the rules real 8-ball rules?

Yes. The table is open until the first legal pot after the break assigns solids and stripes. Scratching, hitting the wrong ball first, missing everything, or failing to reach a rail is a foul and gives your opponent ball in hand. You have to call a pocket for the 8, and potting it early, in the wrong pocket or while scratching loses the rack.

Do my friends need to download anything or make an account?

No. The table runs in the browser, and guests join straight from the room link without signing up. It works on phones as well as laptops.

Can we see and talk to each other while playing?

Yes. Video and voice chat are built into the room, so both players are on camera at the rail, and anyone else in the room can watch and talk.

Can I put spin on the cue ball?

Yes. A spin control next to the cue lets you add top, bottom and side spin before a shot, and the physics runs the same on every screen, so both players see exactly the same rolls.
